Completing your job application
- Provide accurate contact details including a day time phone number
- Attach your CV (Curriculum Vitae). This simply outlines your previous education, employment history and experience. Include dates and a short blurb about your skills, and previous roles and responsibilities. Use clear and concise language, bullet points are best. Keep it simple.
- You may even like to include a brief covering note at the start of your CV which explains how your experience meets the particular requirements of the role.
How to prepare for an interview
- Research - a bit about us so you know who we are, find out who are our target customers and visit some of our stores to see what happens in a typical day.
- Rehearse - with a friend or family member, this will help you get your thoughts in order and will help identify if you are speaking too fast or softly.
- Experience – Think about some of the experiences you have had in previous roles so you can give examples during your interview.
- Arrive Early – Arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your, interview time so you can take a moment to relax and collect your thoughts.
- Appearance – Consider your personal presentation – dress neatly, look smart and ensure you have well groomed hair and nails. Remember first impressions count.
